Hubble detects possible "second-generation" planet around white dwarf
NASA study published in Nature Astronomy identifies unusual niobium signature in the HS 0209+0832 system, captured by Hubble and FUSE. TESS data points to a Jupiter-sized body about 6 million kilometers from the white dwarf. Material ejected by the dead star may have given rise to a newly formed gas giant.
